Membership in the Chapter has had a roller-coaster effect, with members coming from London in the West to Guelph in the North and from Niagara
Region to the East.
Numbers have fluctuated between a high of 32 members to a low of 9. This was due to some members starting a new Chapter in other communities. As a result, Courtland has had to do some serious recruiting to build its membership base.
Since the Chapter was Chartered in 2004, there have been only three Presidents - David W. Young, Edward Lankin, CD (both deceased) and the current President - Ed Weil, CD. Ed lives in Tillsonburg and is a long time member of the local Royal Canadian Legion.
Ed Weil and Larry Georgeson, CD, Ways & Means Chairman, are the joint custodians of the John Ternapolski Memorial Hall.
MCpl John William Ternapolski was born in Soest, West Germany, 6 February 1968 His father was a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR) stationed there during the Cold War years.
