The Niagara Chapter received its Charter on 29 August 2007 with General Meetings held at the Royal Canadian Legion Br #4 in Welland.
On the 7th of February 2009, the Chapter membership voted to change the name of the Chapter to the Cpl Albert Storm, CD (Niagara) Chapter in honour of the first of three Niagara casualties of the Afghanistan War. The approval of the name change was sanctioned by the Storm family.
In subsequent years, there have been several changes to the Chapter's personnel strength and to the venue for GMs. The Chapter now meets at the Canadian Corps, Unit #44, in Thorold,
which is more central for Chapter members.
The Chapter has acquired two trailers. One is used as a Mobile Information booth which is taken to various venues to publicize our Association and Chapter while the other is an 18 foot flatbed trailer designed to transport handicapped Veterans who can no longer endure the marching distances of various parade routes. The Mobile Information booth trailer can be towed by any vehicle whereas the 18 foot flatbed is towed by a vehicle equipped with an electronic trailer towing kit.
Pictures of these vehicles may be viewed in the Photo Gallery.
